WALES — Voters in Litchfield, Sabattus and Wales approved a $19.17 million spending plan for Regional School Unit 4 Tuesday.

Sabattus voters approved the budget 523-186, Litchfield approved it 419-378 and Wales voters approved it 216-76.

The budget is up $355,984, or 1.89 percent, from this fiscal year’s $18.81 million. The majority of the increase is for contracted salaries and benefits.

On a $100,000 house, the budget increases property taxes by $7.39 in Litchfield and decreases taxes by $4.75 in Wales and $26.23 in Sabattus, according to RSU 4’s annual report.
