LEWISTON — Celebrating 60 years, Maine State Music Theatre will present “I Love a Piano,” the music and lyrics of Irving Berlin, at The Dolard & Priscilla Gendron Franco Center on Friday, June 15.
The show is at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 6:30.
“I Love a Piano” follows the journey of a piano as it moves in and out of American lives from the turn of the century to the present.
The production is co-directed and choreographed by Curt Dale Clark and Raymond Marc Dumont of Lewiston. Proceeds will support the Franco Center’s community arts outreach programs, including the summer movie series for families and the theatre’s production of “Cinderella” for elementary school students in Lewiston.
The musical includes more than 60 of Irving Berlin’s most beloved songs, including “Blue Skies,” “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” “Cheek to Cheek,” “Always,” “How Deep is the Ocean,” “Anything You Can Do,” “God Bless America,” and “I Love a Piano.”

The center, which is handicap accessible, is at Cedar and Oxford streets across the Bernard Lown Peace Bridge from New Auburn.
