AUBURN — Auburn Public Library will kick off the Teen Summer Reading Program from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, Conference Room.

Teens can learn about the program and listen to Chicks with Sticks steel drummers. Teens can listen to and learn about music and several showcase their musical talents.

The program runs June 26 to Aug. 9 for ages 12 to 18, for teens entering seventh through 12th grades. In addition to reading, programs and activities will include a Just Dance competition on the Wii, a do-it-yourself music workshop in the Media Lab with Aaron Wardwell, and a Mamma Mia sing-along. There will also be a book club, Pizza & Pages, where teens will read and discuss three books related to the summer theme, Libraries Rock. Participants get to keep the books.)

For each book read and for each program attended, teens will have a chance to enter into a weekly drawing. The grand prize is a guitar and lessons. There will also be a prize for program participation.
