LEWISTON — Constance J. Charest 74, of Webber Avenue died Saturday June 2, at her home, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 22, 1943, a daughter of the late Alpha and Rita (Pelletier) Morin.
Connie married her true love, Robert E. Charest, on Nov. 19, 1960, and together they settled in Lewiston to raise their family. She worked for many years at Geiger Bros., where she made many friends through the years. Connie was a member of Holy Cross Church.
Connie was a warm and loving person who made friends with anyone she met, even if it was for just a few minutes. She was known as Memere to many and always had an open door to those in need. She was an avid outdoors person who loved to camp, fish and boat. She loved having family and friends out to camp on Tacoma Lake. Her greatest pride were her grandchildren, and she treasured every moment with them.
She leaves her three children: Gary Charest and wife, Diane, of Greene; Tina Baril and husband, John, of Greene; and Glenn Charest and wife, Jessica, of Lewiston; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Charest; a brother,Richard Morin, and wife, Claire, of Lewiston; a sister, Pauline Mathieu, and husband, Rene, of Fayette; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Charest, in 2007, and a sister, Susan Biron.
