SACO — The Maine Water Company has added Mary Jane Dillingham as director of water quality to facilitate the company’s mission of providing clean drinking water in 12 public water systems throughout the state.

Since 1999, Dillingham was the water quality manager for Lewiston and Auburn, overseeing the health of Lake Auburn.

She will be responsible for technical oversight and compliance assistance for all public water systems owned or operated by the company, including source water protection, resource planning and management, treatment process selection and Safe Drinking Water Act and Clean Water Act requirements.

She will also serve as lab director and quality assurance officer for Maine Water’s state-certified laboratories, providing oversight and audit functions to ensure state wide environmental regulatory compliance and stewardship. She has 30 years of experience in the water utility industry.
