Farmer’s market on Thursdays
NORWAY — The Norway Farmer’s Market will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursdays, through Oct. 4, at Witherell Park by the police station.
ATV club plans pig roast, ride
OTISFIELD — Otisfield Trail Blazers ATV Club will hold its third annual Landowners Appreciation Pig Roast Saturday, June 2, at 271 Ahonen Road.
The event will start at noon with an ATV ride at 12:30 p.m. Food will be ready at 4 p.m. There will be raffles, and all are welcome.
Cost is free for area landowners who allow the club to access their trails; free to club members; $10 per person; and $25 for families.

Franklin democrats to meet
FARMINGTON — Franklin County Democratic Committee members participate in the Annual Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice 5K Run & Remembrance Walk.
At their monthly meeting on May 6, the Franklin County Democratic Committee heard a presentation about ranked choice voting. Attendees viewed sample ballots to be used in the June primary and learned more about Question 1, a veto referendum to overturn legislation limiting the implementation of ranked choice voting in Maine.
The FCDC will hold its monthly meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at the Mallett School, 116 Middle St. All are welcome.

Texas Hold’Em poker planned
PARIS — The AMVETS monthly Texas Hold’Em poker tournaments are held at from 5 p.m. to midnight on the first Friday of the month at the American Legion Hall.
The event is open to the public. The Auxiliary will have a food concession open from 5 p.m. until the end of second break. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Buy-in is usually $50 with a license fee of $5 and an optional $5 High Hand.
