Dempsey Center hosting Survivors’ Day
LEWISTON — The Dempsey Center will celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, on the fifth floor at 29 Lowell St.
The free event will have light refreshments, music and interactive workshops. Cancer survivors and caregivers of all ages are welcome.

Democrats to meet June 7
MINOT — The next meeting of the Minot-Mechanic Falls-Poland Democrats will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Minot Town Office.
The topic is formalizing the joining of the three towns into one Democratic Municipal Committee.
Library offers weekly story time
MECHANIC FALLS — Mechanic Falls Public Library holds Story Hour and Craft Time from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays except holidays.
Story Hour is geared for ages 2 to 5.

Auburn Church collecting hygiene products
AUBURN — The Auburn United Methodist Church is supporting the Center for Wisdom’s Women by helping supply hygiene products for the women that they serve.
Requested donations include shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, body wash, disposable razors, lotion, lip balm and feminine hygiene products.
Donations can be dropped off at 439 Park Ave.
