New Gloucester exhibit to open
NEW GLOUCESTER — “New Gloucester from then ‘Til Now… and Today: A Community Exhibit” will have its formal grand opening from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 2, at the New Gloucester History Barn, 383 Intervale Road, Route 231.
The exhibit will feature the work of many members and friends who have displayed with visuals, narratives and artifacts the various neighborhoods of the town.
Refreshments will be available. The event is free and open to the public.
Maine Wildlife Park lobster program
GRAY — The Maine Wildlife Park will host Lucky Catch Lobster Co. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3, on Route 26.
The Portland-based company will give visitors a chance to see and learn all about lobsters and other sea creatures. A variety of lobster gear and live lobsters will be available. Participants will learn about lobster habitats, conservation efforts and the differences between hardshells, shedders, shorts, culls and keepers.

Seniors to have meeting, play bingo
AUBURN — The New Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 4, for a business meeting and open Bingo.
The June dinner will be Chinese pie served Monday, June 18. Cost is $6, and those attending must purchase dinner tickets at the June 4 meeting.
Off Monday Bingo for seniors 50 and older will be played at noon on Mondays, June 11 and 25.
All functions are held at Sacred Heart Church.
Cooking, first aid programs offered at cafe
LEWISTON — A program on “Simply Healthy Cooking — Food that nourishes every cell in your body” will be presented at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Ark & Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St.
Mary Penner, FNP, IFMCP, will instruct the class, which will cook and taste together and learn easy recipes. It is free.
At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, “First Aid Natural Remedies — Things you can use from your kitchen” will be presented by Martin Raj. It is also free

Golf tournament benefiting shelter
AUBURN — A golf tournament will benefit the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, which shelters more than 4,500 animals annually.
The tournament will be held a 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, at Martindale Country Club.
