TURNER — William D. “Buck” Rodgers Jr., 54, of Jay died Thursday, May 24, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Rumford, Jan. 11, 1964, he was the son of William D. Rodgers Sr. and Elizabeth (Wigfield) Rodgers. He was a self-employed contractor (delivery driver) for Hudson RPM of Gorham. He also worked as a handyman. He loved spending as much time as he could with his wife and daughter, watching NASCAR, going 4-wheeling and taking day trips to wherever his heart desired. He was also a cancer survivor.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Loralee (McInnis) Rodgers and his daughter, Rebecca. His sisters, Peggy Crawford and her husband, James, of Maine and Florida, Tracey White of Rumford, Terry Andrews and her companion, Larry McLain, of Rumford, Thelma Diekfuss and her husband Marlin of Florida, his brother Clifton Rodgers of Augusta, and Bernard Hopkins of Lewiston, whom William considered a brother; his aunt, Barbara Rodgers of Florida and lots of cousins in Florida and Pennsylvania. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Sisters-in-law Charlotte Mesko of Winslow and Valaree McInnis of South Paris and many close friends. A couple whom he thought of as brothers, Lucien Desrosier Sr. and Robert Patneaude.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He will be dearly missed by all.
