DURHAM — The Lisbon Area Christian Outreach (LACO) benefit car show, hosted by the Yankee Cruisers Car Club, will be held Saturday, June 2, at Shiloh Chapel. Registration will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. and the event will include crafters and food.

“Summer is especially hard for families when free school meal programs end.  Funds raised from this event will allow us to give more food and healthy snacks over these critical months,” said Bob Couture, LACO president.

According to Pantry Coordinator Carol Day, last year LACO provided 7,687 individuals (4,988 adults and 2,699 children). This included 149 new households and 355 registered families who made 2,835 visits.

Founded in 1985, LACO is a nonprofit organization that serves the Lisbon, Durham and Bowdoin communities. The food and clothing pantry is located at the rear entrance of the MTM Center, School Street, Lisbon Falls.
