The Circle of Love and Hope Prayer Shawl Ministry of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Norway and Mechanic Falls gather together twice a month for two hours to knit prayer shawls. When the prayer shawl is finished it is blessed by a priest and is given to a person who may benefit from the warmth of the fabric and the effort that was put into the creation of the shawl. Since 2010, more than 300 shawls have been given by the ministry. In honor of Mother’s Day, the ministry donated shawls and lap robes to Clover Manor Nursing Home.
