TURNER — Residents approved a $2.75 million budget for fiscal year 2018-19 at the annual town meeting Saturday.
The budget is 0.74 percent more than this fiscal year, which ends June 30. The estimated property tax increase on a $100,000 property is $12.
Voters approved amending ordinances as part of the comprehensive plan. The amendments included changing a rural designation to a residential designation. Most of the other changes were to wording and grammar for clarity, according to the warrant.
Elected to office were:
• Selectmen Kevin Nichols, 215 votes and Kurt Youland with 191;
• SAD 52 Directors Jessaka Nichols with 198 votes and JoAnn Nickerson with 210; and
• Budget Committee members Rachel Pack with 263 votes, Kyle Youland with 33 and Travis Haley with 21 write-ins.
