Sonya Purington of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice said about 400 people either ran or walked during the event that raised money for those who do not have insurance or the money, but need end of life care. Bubier said “Team Nannie” celebrated her mother, Nannie’s 100th birthday on Sunday. Nannie passed away at the age of 94 while being cared for at the Hospice House. Bubier’s son, Scott, also died at the Hospice House at the age of 58.

About 400 people participated in the 10th Annual Hospice House 5K in Auburn on Sunday, said Sonya Purington of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. The event started and finished at Central Maine Community College and raised money for those who do not have insurance or the money, but need end of life care, said Purington.
