AUBURN — Joseph A. Brochu, 41, a resident of Greene, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 13, with his loving family by his side at the Hospice House following a brief illness.
He was born in Lewiston, July 19, 1976, the son of Albert and Joan (Leeman) Brochu.
Joseph’s life’s passion was cooking and he had worked as a cook in several area restaurants, and for the past 13 years was a cook at St. Mary’s hospital.
He married the former Melissa Nadeau on Aug. 1, 2015.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed playing horseshoes, barbecuing, and making camp fires. He also enjoyed snowmobiling and riding his Harley.
Survivors include his father, Albert Brochu, and stepmom Sue of Skowhegan; his mother, Joan Brochu, and stepfather Bob Shaver; his wife, Melissa Brochu of Greene; three daughters Alexia, Abigail and Kaitlyn; two sisters, Melissa Dulac and companion Josh, and Jessica Leclair and husband, Rick, of Litchfield.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
