Saturday, May 12, there will be a special benefit show “Shakedown for Make-A-Wish” at Margaritas in Auburn. Acoustic music from goes from 6-8 p.m., the Skidmarks at 8, Continental Shakedown at 9, then an all-star jam featuring members of Continental Shakedown with drummer Jeff Glidden, members of L-A Harley Band and surprise artists. There is no cover charge. All musicians are donating time and talent; there will be a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and 100 percent of the proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Walk for Wishes which takes place in Portland May 19. The benefit is the fulfillment of promise by Jeff Glidden, aove, whose two daughters were each granted wishes by the organization; Sarah, far right, was treated for a rare cancer and a heart defect, and at the same time, her younger sister, Ericka, left, suffered a full cardiac arrest from a hereditary heart condition. Both recovered and are doing well. Glidden, a drummer, promised he would continue to give back to the organization that means so much to his family. Maryann Glidden is also pictured.
