DEAR SUN SPOTS: What happened to the show, “Alaskan Bush People”? It was a family of eight to 10 called the Brown family and they lived in Alaska. In the last show I watched in October, Ami Brown, the mom, had cancer. The family moved to California for her treatments. What happened to her? Did she pass away? What happened to the children, ages 14-34? Did they find jobs and get married? Is the show coming back? I’m not sure why it was taken off the air. It seems it ended abruptly.

ANSWER: I gleaned some information for you from Facebook and “People” magazine. Since “Alaskan Bush People” has been on the Discovery Channel, the Brown family has grown up quite a bit. They’ve gone from the wilds of Alaska to Beverly Hills to Colorado and they now live in Washington where they are filming Season Eight for their fans. Plans are that the show will return this summer.

It is reported that Mom Ami has completely recovered from lung cancer and is regaining her health. Son Noah is engaged but everyone will be back, so stay tuned!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I received a gift certificate for Hibachi Chinese Restaurant on East Avenue in Lewiston. We decided to go to supper, only to find out their restaurant was closed. I would like to know if we can get reimbursed for our $25 gift certificate. Could you also find out if they will reopen in the near future? Your response is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
