What does 21st century learning look like now? And what is a “maker space?” The landscape of learning is challenged to be “agile” and “nimble” and “experiential.” But what does that really mean for the student learner and the learning environment? Sara Shifrin, director of Gould’s Marlon Family IDEAS Center, will talk about the trends at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, in Alumni Auditorium in Gould Academy’s McLaughlin Science Building in Bethel. This is the second presentation in Western Mountains Senior College’s 2018 Down Home Maine series. DHM presentations are free and open to the public. Students Wyman Ward, left, and Mia Shifrin, center, speak with Shifrin, right, in Gould Academy’s Marlon Family IDEAS Center.
