WINTHROP — A marrow donor registry drive to benefit Winthrop Grade School student Shyanna Anzivino will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Winthrop Grade School, 23 Highland Ave.

Anzivino has Aplastic Anemia and needs a marrow transplant to cure her. She has a uniquely diverse heritage — Penobscot, MicMac, Black Foot, Italian, German and Scottish — but unfortunately this makes it more difficult to find a match.

Typing fees for this drive are covered by health insurance or Michael’s Fund. Prospective donors should bring a health insurance card.
