LEWISTON — Jeannine T. Roy, 68, of Auburn, peacefully passed away Thursday, April 26, at Central Maine Medical Center, with her loving children by her side.
She was born in Lewiston on April 10, 1950, a daughter of the late Albert and Murielle Guay Roy. She attended Lewiston schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1968.
For many years Jeannine worked at Bradlees in Lewiston until its closing and later worked as a cash associate for Brinks Inc., also in Lewiston, until her retirement.
Among her interests were gardening, crocheting and always taking care of people. But, her greatest enjoyment in life was the love and time she spent with her children and five grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Mercier) Lewis, and her husband, Brian, of Auburn; her son, James R. Mercier, and his wife, Wendy, of Lewiston; her five loving grandchildren, Caitlyn and Jacob Lewis of Auburn and Carter, Coleman and Ella Mercier of Lewiston.
She also leaves behind her sister, Anita Smart, and her husband, Brian, of Lewiston; and her brother, William Pleau, of Lewiston.
Jeannine was predeceased by her loving daughter, Rebecca L. Mercier, in 1979; and also by her stepfather, Roland Pleau.
