Sgt. Bruce Loring, far right, and other members of the Maine Warden Service Dive Team hook up a side scan sonar to the front of their dive boat at the boat launch on Lincoln Street in Lewiston on Friday morning. With "very challenging" conditions, divers will not enter the water to search for the missing 5-year-old boy on Friday, said Loring. The water level of the Androscoggin River is three times the level it was when the boy fell into the river. There is zero visibility underneath the surface, said Loring. The side scan sonar will use sound waves to see through the water during the team's search on Friday. (Daryn Slover/Sun Journal)
