Hadlock Field was named one of the top 10 minor league ballparks, in a list published Wednesday by Baseball America.

Currently in its 25th season, Hadlock is home to the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A minor league franchise of the Boston Red Sox.

Hadlock ranked No. 8 on the list, along with two other Eastern League stadiums — FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pennsylvania (No. 7) and Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford (No. 10).

According to Baseball America, the list was based on a survey of broadcasters and scouts across the country.

From the publication: “The rules were simple: In all your travels, which park would you most likely to return to if you were a fan?”

In ranking Hadlock No. 8, the publication noted that the ballpark “has stood the test of time as one of the jewels of the minors …”
