LIVERMORE FALLS — On May 4, Treat Memorial Library will wish its patrons, “May the Fourth be with you!” The library has recommended “Star Wars” or other science fiction reads for Star Wars Day. Patrons are now able to take two books from the new shelf.

The library has announced its May activities schedule, including a book group and gardening.

Preschool Story Time is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays and features stories, songs, rhymes and crafts. On May 9 those attending will make something special for Mother’s Day.

The Book Group continues the She Persisted: Biographies of Great Women in History series at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 10. Members will discuss “Irena’s Children: The Extraordinary Story of the Woman who Saved 2,500 Children from the Warsaw Ghetto” by Tilar J. Mazzeo. Those who would like a copy of the latest book up for discussion should let staff know.

The LEGO Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19. Children may stop by and build something that will be shown in the display. They can take on the challenge or make something else.

Knit/Crochet will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 22. All levels of skill are welcome. Participants can get help with a new project or create in company.

Those who have a green thumb and would like to help out in the garden should contact the library about joining the Garden Club. Any help on the gardens is appreciated.

The library will be closed on Tuesday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.
