MANCHESTER, N.H. — Lorraine Foristal, 83, died peacefully Wednesday, March 21.
She was born at home Aug. 29, 1934, in Lewiston, the daughter of Conrad and Olivine (Lapierre) Labbe.
She grew up in Lewiston, attended St. Peter’s School until the eighth grade. On June 21, 1965, she married John Foristal.
She worked in shoe shops in Lewiston and Manchester, N.H., as a security guard at New England Telephone and SCI Systems and as an Avon saleswoman.
She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and cross stitch and made many sweaters for family and friends.
Survivors include her godchildren; Dan Cote and Claire Manyak; special niece, Pauline Poisson Cornish; brothers-in-law Armand Cote, Normand “Pete” Garant; sister-in-law Jackie Labbe; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends Cindy Rothwell and Arina Demietry Sadykoda.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John, brothers Conrad and Normand “Blackie” Labbe, sisters Laurette Poisson, Carmen Cote and Pauline Garant.
