NAPLES, Fla. — Norman E. Bilodeau, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, of Naples, Fla., passed away Monday, April 2, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Lewiston on April 9, 1941.
Norman graduated from Lewiston High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. In 1960, he began working at the Manufacturer’s National Bank, where he met his loving wife, Margaret (Peggy) Marsh. They married Aug. 18, 1962. While working as a banker, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Maine.
Norman held various positions in banking throughout his career and retired as president from First National Bank of Portsmouth, N.H., in 1996. He and his wife spent their time at their homes of Old Orchard Beach and Naples, Fla. Norman enjoyed playing tennis, sailing, hiking, skiing, walking the beaches of Maine and Florida and hosting the infamous Bilodeau summer family reunions.
Norman is predeceased by his parents, Henry T. Bilodeau and Jeanne Violette; and his brother, Henry Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his son, David, and his wife, Debra, of Maine; his daughter, Susan Dube, and her husband, Timothy, of Florida; and his son, John, and his wife, Kelly, of Washington; brothers, Donald and his wife, Dorothy, of Maine, Gerald and his wife, Sandra, of New Hampshire; and sister, Claudette Silagi, of Connecticut; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gallant, and great-granddaughter, Jasmine, Renee Story, her husband, Matthew, and great- grandsons, Mason and Jaxon, Amanda Farrales and her husband, Jordan, Christina Batchelder and her husband, Jeffrey, who all reside in Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
