SCARBOROUGH — Anita J. (Pontbriand) Daley, 88, of Scarborough, passed away Friday, March 30, at the Hawthorne House in Freeport following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Thomas (“Ted”), her devoted husband of 68 years, along with her family, provided continuous love and comfort throughout her final days.
Anita was born in Auburn on Nov. 29, 1929. An only child of Archie and Helen Pontbriand, Anita grew up in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School.
Anita is survived by her husband, Thomas; her daughter, Janice and husband, Frank Guidi; her son Michael; her daughter Susan and husband Nicholas Keen; daughter, Diane and husband Gary Donaldson. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Timothy and Matthew Libby, Jillian Keen and partner David Foster, Ryan and Justin Donaldson; and a great-grandson, Davie Foster.
