OES chapter officers to be installed
AUBURN — A new slate of officers for Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will be installed at 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.
Mary Ann Perkins will be installed worthy matron and David Farr, worthy patron.
Carley Anne Byras, past grand matron, grand secretary emeritus, will be the installing matron, assisted by Dale E. Hanington, past grand patron, installing patron. Other installing officers will be Flora M. Stack, associate grand matron, marshal; Brett Jervis, associate grand patron, chaplain; Debra Greim, grand organist, organist; Linda Gray, district deputy grand matron, Four Star Point Ceremony.
Refreshments will be served in the dining hall after the installation. All Eastern Star members, masons and anyone interested in learning about the Order of the Eastern Star are welcome to attend.
Immigration officers to have drop-in hours
LEWISTON — Lewiston Public Library will host Immigration Services Officers from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Wednesday, April 4.
The officers will hold a free open office session for individuals from the community with questions about the United States immigration process.
From 1:30 to 3 p.m. the officers will be available in a second-floor study room for one-on-one meetings. Drop-ins are welcome; no appointments are necessary.
Services provided include customer inquiries, case status for pending applications, and general information about naturalization, citizenship, permanent residence and asylum/refugee information.

Pantry seeks book donations
AUBURN — The High Street Food Pantry is seeking donations of children’s books for infants through teens.
Donations may be brought to the Auburn United Methodist Church, at 439 Park Ave.

Pinochle, pitch players welcome
LEWISTON — Pinochle and pitch card games for seniors are played weekly through May at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.
New players are always welcome. Pitch is played at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays. Pinochle is at 1 p.m. on Thursdays. Refresher courses are available in both categories.
The armory is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Players must become a member to participate.
