LEWISTON — Ivan Douglass, 80, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 17.
Ivan was born on June 10, 1937, in Auburn to Ralph and Annette Douglass. He graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1951, and worked for the city of Auburn, Public Works Dept. as a foreman for 40 years, retiring in 2000.
Ivan was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to talk about traveling to Alaska for fly fishing. He enjoyed his group of friends from the East Auburn Men’s Club and J.T. Reid Gun Shop. He loved spending time with his family as well as his dogs Peanut and Crete.
Ivan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mona J. Douglass; his sons, Joshua Douglass, Brian Vincent and his wife, Melanie; his daughter, Carmen Douglass; his grandchildren, Celeste Vincent, Misty Edgecomb and spouse, Keith Edgecomb, Angel Poulin and Autumn Poulin; and his great-grandchildren, Lilly, George, Gracelyn, Everly and Aliyah; and several close family friends he always thought of as daughters, sons and grandchildren of his own.
