Kite-flying group to be formed

NORWAY — A “Color the Sky, Kite Fly!” group will hold monthly meetings on weekends in Norway and surrounding towns, dates to depend on the wind. Time of kite-flying sessions will be from 1 to 4 p.m., meeting at area locations.

‘Essentials of College Planning’ workshop set

WILTON — An “MEOC-101-Essentials of College Planning” workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 18, at the Wilton CareerCenter 865 US Route 2E.

The workshop introduces people to educational opportunities in general and MEOC services in particular. It touches on the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career and study skills. The financial aid portion will provide an overview of financial basics and the completion of the Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Waterford library plans egg hunt

WATERFORD — The Waterford Library annual Spring Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at 663 Waterford Road.

Children 5 and under will egg hunt inside the library, and children 6 and older will hunt outside the building. Bring baskets and wear proper foot gear.

In addition, each child will receive a new book. Refreshments will be available for all. The Friday Coffee Cafe patrons are supplying the goodies.

Pine Tree Quilters Guild meeting

NORWAY — The Pine Needles chapter of the statewide Pine Tree Quilters Guild meets from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursdays in the community room of the Norway Town Office, year around.

Both hand and machine quilters are welcome.

There is a schedule of optional activities such as occasional road trips, group projects and monthly trips out for lunch.

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club plays at 9:15 a.m. Fridays in the Oxford Recreation building on King Street.
