AUBURN — Gerard “Jerry” R. Montminy, 81, of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, March 18, with his family by his side following a long battle with COPD.

He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 13, 1937, the son of the late Alphonse and Bernice (Martin) Montminy. He spent his entire life in Lewiston and had several businesses which included BZ Bee Cleaning and Jerry’s Cleaning.

He had a real passion for trains since a young age and took pride in his train room at his home. He also had a great love for his 1957 Ford Fairlane convertible. He enjoyed his coffee time at Denny’s Restaurant and was always good for a laugh. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his children, Jerry “Jay” Montminy and his wife Kera “Kate”, Steve Montminy and his wife Sue, Shane Montminy, Tammy Montminy and Robin Montminy; his grandchildren, Keisha Davis, Derek Montminy, Tyler Montminy, Angel Cayouette, Cheyenne Beard and Dustin Beard; and his great-grandchildren, Raelyn Lewis, Ryleigh Welch and Ashlynn Munro.

He was predeceased by his parents; two sons, Craig and Gary Montminy; his eight brothers and sisters; and by the love of his life, Tammy Cummings.
