SABATTUS — The Sabattus Rec Running Club is continuing its Wednesday night Group Runs and is inviting anyone wishing to get out and get their legs moving to join in on the fun. Light colored or reflective clothing is suggested for the spring season.

The Group Runs leave from Mixer’s parking lot on Sabattus Rd. at 6 p.m. each Wednesday, year-round, unless the weather is severe. There are usually two or three, and occasionally more, groups doing different distances and paces for people to pick from. All ages and abilities (walkers and joggers, too) are welcome. The groups usually go out for 30-45 minutes. This is a perfect option for anyone working on a Couch To 5K program.

For those who just want some exercise, or for those who are interested in competing in races or other events, these free, no-pressure Group Runs are a great way to keep the training on track. Regulars offer plenty of support and encouragement.

FMI, check out the Sabattus Rec Club Running Program page on Facebook, or go to www.sabattusrec.com and look for “Running” under the Teams drop down.
