AUBURN — Carroll W. Page Jr., 78, a resident of Livermore, passed away Saturday, March 10, at Clover Manor in Auburn, surrounded by his loving family, following declining health over the past three years.
He was born Oct. 28, 1939, in Auburn, the son of Carroll W. Page Sr. and Althea (Rogerson) Page Greeley. Carroll was a 1958 graduate of Everett Vocational High School in Everett, Mass. Following graduation he served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. On Nov. 6, 1992, in Livermore, he married Louise (Coombs) Childress.
Carroll worked as the director of maintenance and transportation for SAD 36 for 19 years and then worked as a bus driver and custodian at Jay Elementary for 13 years, until his retirement in 2003.
He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife, Louise, to Florida. Carroll was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; he loved spending time with his family and his adored 16 grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Page of Livermore; daughters, Brenda Latham and husband, Douglas, of Searsport and their daughters, Hannah and Emily Melotto, Marcia Mitchell and husband, Rob, of Turner and their children, Sophia and Billy Visconti, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn and Annika Mitchell, and Debra Pease and husband, Jody, of Livermore Falls and their children, Laura, Derek and Adell Pease; stepdaughters, Diane Sundquist and husband, Mark, of Rochester, N.Y., and their daughters, Ciera Sundquist and Brianne Matthews and husband, Kevin, Debra Pittman of Raymond and her sons, Nicholas and Connor Pittman, and Denise Langlin and husband, James, of Livermore and their sons Michael Langlin and his wife, Haley, and their daughter Molly Jane, and Matthew Langlin; his brother, Garry Page of Wilton Manors, Fla.; sister, Gloria Thompson of Londonderry, N.H.; mother-in-law, Pauline Coombs of Auburn; in-laws, Jeanne Chretien and husband, Al, and Michael Coombs and wife, Mary, all of South Carolina; and Judy Simonson and fiance, Mike LaChance of Winthrop; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his stepfather, William Greeley.
