BANGOR — Helen E. Krog, 86, died peacefully Tuesday, March 6, with family at her side. She was born Dec. 5, 1931, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of Vernon F. and Hazel (Terrill) Harmon.

In 1949, Helen married Vic Krog, who predeceased her in 2007. She retired from her long-term employment, Liberty Mutual, in 1992. Helen was actively involved as a lead adviser for the Junior Achievement Program in Lewiston. She had a kind and caring relationship with the teens whom she mentored. Her special talent for craft-making was enjoyed by all those to whom she gifted.

Helen was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to everyone she came in contact with. Helen loved music, especially Elvis Presley. Her dream came true when she visited Graceland.

In addition to her parents and Vic, Helen was predeceased by her grandson, B.J. Krog; and her four brothers, Larry, Lee, Snooky and Joe. She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Pitula and her husband, Pete, of Glenburn, and Bonnie Green and her friend, Jeff, of Bangor; two sons, Brad Krog and his wife, Dawn, of Bowdoin, and Randy Krog and his wife, Alice, of Bowdoin; six grandchildren, Kyna, Randy Jr., Pete Jr., Jamie, Adam and Andrew; seven great-grandchildren, Kade, Kolby, Briella, Kaysen, Arianna, Logan and Matthias; two brothers, Richard Harmon and his wife, Mary Joe, of Lisbon Falls, and Ralph Harmon of Bowdoin; two sisters, Lois Ames and her husband, Butch, of Lisbon Falls, and Harriet Hudson and her husband, Stephen, of Litchfield; two sisters-in-law, Val Harmon of Bowdoin and Shirley Harmon of Bowdoin; many nieces and nephews.
