Several months have passed since it was mentioned in one of your articles that a gentleman was interested in old photographs that people are discarding. I have many negatives and perhaps some photos he can have if he is interested.

ANSWER: More and more these old negatives and photos are being posted online for identification. Would anyone like to have these?

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I remember a recent letter in your column requesting old magazines. Would it be possible to provide the contact information for the person who wants the magazines? Thanks a million.

ANSWER: Most recently, I mentioned that the ShareCenter in Auburn and Topsham collects a lot of recyclable materials, including magazines, which educators use in the classroom for art and STEM projects. I recommend that you contact the ShareCenter at 207-333-6671 and ask if they are collecting magazines at this time.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have a free 27-inch Sony older model TV, not a flat screen, that works great. Call 207-689-6973.

ANSWER: The Sun Spots column isn’t for selling things but you could take out a small ad in the classifieds by calling the Sun Journal at 207-784-5411. There are also great online yard sale sites and Craig’s List and eBay. You may also want to take your item to a consignment shop too.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Where is Red Lobster, Ci-Ci, Sonic and Chic-Fil-A restaurants? I see the commercials for these, but are they located in Maine?

ANSWER: It doesn’t appear there are any Red Lobster or Cici’s restaurants in Maine, New Hampshire or Massachusetts, according to the companies’ websites. You’ll have to take a road trip to Connecticut for those cheesy biscuits or to Albany, New York, for Cici’s pizza. There are six Sonic locations in Massachusetts.

You’ll be happy to know you can motor on up to Bangor for a Chic-Fil-A. There’s one on Stillwater Avenue!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: March is Brain Injury Awareness Month. The Brain Injury Association of America, Maine is having a free Resource Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. March 29 at the Augusta Armory, 179 Western Ave. Register at biausa.org/maine.

Brain injury survivors, including those with TBI, ABI, aneurysm, stroke, concussion or any other brain-related injuries, can attend, as well as family members, caregivers, social workers, care coordinators and anyone else interested in learning more about brain injury resources and services in Maine.
