AUBURN — Paul W. Terstegen, 65, of Lisbon, a Vietnam veteran, died peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Friday, March 2, with his family at his side.

He was born in Waterville on Dec. 18, 1952, the son of the late John and Jean (Dixon) Terstegen. Prior to his retirement, Paul worked as a shift leader in the electrical department at Bath Iron Works for over 37 years. Paul was an avid outdoorsman which included, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and camping. Paul’s dream was to finish his lodge in Skowhegan to be used for hunting trips and getaways.

He is survived by his loving cat “Butterscotch,” his loving wife and soul mate of 25 years, Linda (Roy) Terstegen of Lisbon, his children, Gwen Terstegen, Kris Terstegen and Michael Terstegen and his wife Veronica, his stepchildren, Tammy Onowski, Timothy Jacques and his wife Lisa and Paul Jacques and his wife Debbie, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, his brother John Terstegen and his wife Louise, his sister Pamela Bryan and her husband Derek, and by a very dear friend Gwendolyn Vye. Paul was predeceased by a sister, Sandy Terstegen.
