BRIDGTON — Gallery 302 will welcome students and their art work from Bridgton Academy, Fryeburg Academy and Lake Region High School for the 2018 Student Art Show.

Due to the generosity of the gallery members who donate their exhibiting spaces, the encouragement of the art teachers and the willingness of the student artists to share their work, the gallery is able to participate in the national celebration of visual arts.

Youth Art Month is an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art and art education for all children. It recognizes the skills developed in visual arts as experiences that are not possible in other curriculum areas and that are vital 21st century skills that contribute to the success of children in a global society.

Students of Gabe Miller of Bridgton Academy will exhibit drawing, printmaking, woodworking and metal projects. Lake Region High School students, directed by their teachers Christina Metcalf, Teal Rancourt-Carlson and Carmel Collins, will also show their work as will the students of art teacher Steve Pullan of Fryeburg Academy.

The work will be on display at Gallery 302, 112 Main St., from March 3 through 23. A reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 4. The public is invited.
