OXFORD — The Oxford American Legion will host a Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, March 10, at the Legion Hall, 169 King St. Doors will open at noon, seating draw will begin at 12:45 and play will start at 1 p.m. and continue until 5:30 p.m. or when there are only five players remaining, whichever comes first.
The one-time buy-in of $55 will provide players with $50,000 in chips. There will be an optional $5 side bet for high hand.
“First-, second- and third-place finishers will receive cash. The fourth-place finisher will receive a gift certificate for a free buy-in in our next tournament, the fifth-place finisher will receive a gift certificate for $25 off the next tournament buy-in. An additional gift certificate for a free buy-in at our next tournament will be given to the first person eliminated from play,” said Rick Nugent, event coordinator.
Food and refreshments will be provided by Squadron 112, Sons of the American Legion. Participants must be age 18 or older. FMI: Nugent, 207-595-4200.
