ALBANY TOWNSHIP — Lisa Jayne Thurston, 45, of Albany, died unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 17, at her home in Albany.
She was born Feb. 5, 1973, in Norway, a daughter of Lawrence Lee and Jo-Ann (McAllister) Farris. She attended local schools, graduating from Telstar High School in 1991.
Lisa worked at the Newton Tibbetts and Kendall dowel mills, Pat’s Pizza, Star Security and most recently at Gould Academy in the kitchen.
Her interests varied tremendously, and she was gifted in many things. She enjoyed working with wood, crocheting, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, gardening, raising animals, hunting and staying connected with family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Jo-Ann Farris, of Albany; her fiance, Edward O. Rice, of Albany; siblings, Sheila Ann Teeple and her husband, Robert, of Oxford, Leslie Lee Thurston and his wife, Jennifer, of Albany, and Howard Noland Thurston and his wife, Kelley, of Oxford.
She was predeceased by her father, and her stepfather, Ronald Lee Farris.
