Mexico Trail Blazers snowmobile club to meet
MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall.

Paris Public Library’s Superhero Party
PARIS — Superheroes of all ages are invited to unite at the Paris Public Library’s Superhero Party from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Deering Memorial Community Center.
To hone their villain fighting abilities, participants will make shields, masks and arm cuffs, fight their way through a yarn gauntlet and test their web-shooting skills with silly string.
Spiderman, Wonder Woman and Deadpool plan to attend the visit with their fellow superheroes-in-training.
The center is located across Church Street from the library. The event is free and welcomes all heroes in the greater Oxford Hills community. Heroes may come in costume or in their everyday street identities.

SeniorsPlus reps to answer questions
NORWAY — SeniorsPlus will be at the Norway Town Office from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26. Staff will answer questions or concerns about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.

Historical society to have potluck
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, for a potluck. The meeting will be held this month at the Pierce House, 204 Main St., instead of the North Church.
Park in the rear of the building and use that entrance.
The program at 7 p.m. will be “What’s on that Postcard?” Everyone is invited.
Homemakers to plan bake sale
CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will meet at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Chesterville Town Office, Dutch Gap Road.
The topics will be to plan the bake sale for Monday, March 12, to coincide with the election, finalize plans for the free senior citizens St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon on Saturday, March 17, and make cards and table favors.

‘Managing Your Woodlot,’ beginner’s course
PARIS — A six-week course for woodlot owners will be held at the Oxford Hills High School (SAD 17) beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1.
Among topics included will be tree ID, deeds and boundaries, timber harvesting, wildlife management, forestry taxes, forestry regulations and working with a consulting forester.
There is a $40 charge for the course. All materials will be supplied. The instructor is Merle Ring, retired Maine Forest Service district forester with 42 years of experience.

Church thrift shop to hold sale
LOVELL — The Lovell United Church of Christ Thrift Shop will hold a $2 a bag sale through Saturday, Feb. 24.
Shop hours are 10 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday. The church is located on Route 5 in Center Lovell.
