‘World’s Greatest Sleigh Rides’ Sunday
LISBON FALLS — The Farmer’s Draft Horse, Mule and Pony Club and the Pejepscot SnoChiefs Snowmobile Club are teaming up for the 25th annual “World’s Greatest Sleigh Rides” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at 400 Main St.
Many teams of horses and sleighs will give rides through fields and woods the way ancestors did years ago. A snack shack will offer hot homemade doughnuts, hot dogs, coffee, hot cocoa, soups and stews while they last.
All proceeds from the all-volunteer charity event will go to Camp Capella, a summer camp for handicapped children. Ride donations will be $5 for adults and $3 for children. Other donations will be accepted to help Camp Capella.
