I support Terry Hayes for governor. She is a genuinely honorable public servant with a track record of reaching compromise and actually enacting important change.

As an independent, Hayes has twice been elected state treasurer with bipartisan support. In fact, her leadership seems to be one of the few things Augusta Democrats and Republicans can agree upon.

Hayes is controlled by no party. As a Clean Elections candidate, she has no obligations to special interests or influential donors.

Recently, so much of American party leadership has ignored important values in the pursuit of power. As a lifetime Mainer from humble beginnings, Hayes has worked hard for the people of Maine without compromising her values.

She is the only candidate with experience bringing people together in these troubling political times. Terry Hayes has been and will continue to mitigate the divisiveness that is crippling American politics today.
