LEWISTON — Pastor Annie Baker-Streevy of Calvary United Methodist Church and interfaith chaplain Pat Hunter Gardiner will offer ashes and blessings to all on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14. They will be in the vicinity of Kennedy Park at lunchtime, welcoming any and all who wish to take part.
Ashes will also be available following Calvary’s Wednesday night supper. There will be an 11 a.m. Ash Wednesday service at Calvary. It is open to all.

NORWAY — The Second Congregational Church of Norway will celebrate the first day of Lent with an Ash Wednesday Service at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 205 Main St.
Anyone of any faith may participate in this service.

RUMFORD — An Ecumenical Ash Wednesday service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the United Methodist Church, Linnell Street, to mark the beginning of the season of Lent.
The pastors of the Methodist Church, Mexico Congregational United Church of Christ (the “Green Church”) and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will participate in the service. All are welcome.

WILTON — The First Congregational Church of Wilton is sponsoring a simple meal for the first day of Lent at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, Ash Wednesday.
The meal will be served in the vestry which is adjacent to the sanctuary. It will be followed by an Ash Wednesday service in the sanctuary with the offering of ashes from the palm branches of the previous Palm Sunday. Easter Sunday will be on April 1.

WILTON — For the fourth year, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Wilton will take to the streets to offer “Ashes-to-Go” in two locations.
On Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14, the Rev. Suzanne Cole, St. Luke’s rector, will be by the Wilton Post Office from 9 to 10 a.m. and then by the Farmington Post Office from noon to 1 p.m.
Ashes-to-Go will be available to anyone who wishes the imposition of ashes and a blessing. Cole will pray with anyone who would like to stop by.
In addition, St. Luke’s in Wilton will hold a traditional Ash Wednesday service at 6:30 p.m. at 59 High St. All are welcome.
