LEWISTON — Genuine Cajun cooking and the State Street Traditional Jazz Band will be part of a Mardi Gras party with a Valentine’s Day twist — a “Mardi Gras/Sweetheart” evening — at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the Gendron Franco Center. Doors and bar will open at 6 p.m.
The menu will include Jambalaya with chicken and shrimp, Andouille sausage with peppers and onions, Cajun-roasted sweet potatoes and King Cake for dessert. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes. For those who do not have their own Mardi Gras masks, there will be some available to borrow or purchase at the event.
Reserved tickets are $20 each. Seating is limited for the meal and dancing.
The Franco Center is handicapped accessible. The price of the ticket includes the meal, show-dancing and prizes. On-site parking at the Continental Mill on Oxford Street is available.
