FRYEBURG — Nathalie Theriault and Jessica Seeley combined for 51 points in Poland’s 64-44 Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball game Monday.
Theriault put up 28 points and Seeley scored 23 for the Knights, who improve to 12-3 and currently sit a top the Class B South Heal-point standings.
Tina Leblanc led Fryeburg (0-14) with 12 points, and Kaylee Emery added nine.
Hebron 41, Hyde 12
BATH — The Hebron Academy girls’ basketball team won its fifth straight game in dominating fashion, beating Hyde 41-12 on Monday.
The Lumberjacks (8-3) held the Wolfpack to two first-half points and led 20-2 at the break.
Maddy New helped Hebron get started, hitting three 3-pointers in the first quarter. She finished with 13 points. Franceska Halloran paced the Lumberjacks with 14 points. Eliza Quinones finished with five points and 11 rebounds.
Kyra Holdampf and Jada Holford scored four points apiece for Hyde (4-8).
Boothbay 59, Winthrop 22
BOOTHBAY — Paige Brown poured in 24 points and Faith Blethen hit for 20 as the Boothbay girls’ basketball team defeated Winthrop 59-22 on Monday.
The Seahawks (15-0) remain undefeated and at the top of the Class C South Heal-point standings.
Kena Souza led Winthrop (7-9) with six points.
Boys’ basketball
Fryeburg 64, Poland 45
POLAND — Fryeburg went on the road and picked up a 64-45 boys’ basketball victory over Poland on Monday.
Oscar Saunders tallied 13 points and Caleb Bowles had 12 for the Raiders (7-7).
For Poland (2-13), Tyler Tucci was hot from the outside, hitting four 3-pointers and finishing with a game-high 22 points.
Boys’ hockey
Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse 6, Windham/Westbrook 1
HALLOWELL — Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse boys’ hockey team kept things rolling with its third straight win, defeating Windham/Westbrook 6-1 on Monday at Camden National Bank Ice Vault.
Sam Alexander led the Eagles (5-7) with a hat trick, while Jacob Sargent scored two goals and added an assist. Noah Austin chipped in three assists to go with his cousin and linemate Nick Austin’s goal and assist. Owen Kelly added one helper, and Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse goaltender Cade Charron finished with 22 saves to get the win.
Austin White scored Windham/Westbrook’s lone goal on an assist by Travis Brown. Netminder Sean White made an impressive 37 saves.
The Eagles head right back to the Ice Vault on Tuesday with a big Class A North tilt against Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale.
