DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you for the response to my note about the 2018 Senior Dunkin’ Donuts Mug Program (Sun Spots, Jan. 25). I called several local Dunkin’ Donuts and was told they do not have the new cards. Folks have to go to the Lewiston Senior Citizens Office at the Armory to get them. Thank you for the great work that you do.

ANSWER: There has been quite the kerfuffle about this coffee discount program. The DD stores did receive a limited amount of cards but ran out very quickly, as did Lewiston’s Senior Citizen Office at the Armory. At this writing, the Senior Center in Auburn at Pettingill Park has only a few cards left. Give them a call before you make the trip: 207-333-6611, ext. 2108.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I recently read an article about the AARP tax preparation for seniors. Because I was unaware that the program had changed location from Lewiston to Auburn, I did not pay attention to the telephone number to call for an appointment. Is it possible for you to get that information for those who use this service? It would be very much appreciated by seniors who depend on it. Your column is a gift to the many people who need information. Thank you for your help.

ANSWER: This information appeared in Sun Spots, Jan. 11. I’m happy to put it in again for all those who missed it:

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I hope to contact John in Phillips who was looking for help with repairing an antique radio (Sun Spots, Jan. 10). I know a radio club member and hobbyist in Gray who is willing to help but doesn’t want his contact information published.

ANSWER: John, please write to Sun Spots with your phone number so this radio guy can get in touch with you!
