LIVERMORE FALLS — The First Baptist Church will serve its monthly luncheons from 11 a.m. to noon on the fourth Saturday of the month September to June at 25 Church Street.

OTISFIELD — The sixth annual Soup and Chowder Fest will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church.

There will be multiple home-made soups, including New England fish chowder, Manhattan fish chowder, venison stew, Dutch pea soup, cheese and broccoli soup, smoked turkey and wild rice soup, butternut squash and white bean soup.

Rolls, bread and biscuits and a variety of beverages will be served and there will be brownies, cookies and sweets for dessert.

Seating will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The meal is free, but donations will be accepted to support activities in the community. The church is located on Rayville Road, three-quarters of a mile from State Route 121.

TEMPLE — A showing of “Young Frankenstein” and wood-fired oven pizza will benefit the Mt. Blue Middle School exchange program.

Pizza will begin being served at 5:30 p.m., and the movie will start at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Temple Stream Theater & Bakery, 321 Intervale Road.

Cost is $10 per person. All profit goes to aid the Mt. Blue Middle School 2018 Exchange program. Students from Philadelphia will visit the Middle School this February and Mt. Blue Middle School students will visit Philadelphia in May.

NORWAY — Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church and the Norway Grange will serve weekly community breakfasts from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays at the Norway Grange on Whitman Street.

All are welcome to a hot breakfast and fellowship. The meal is free.

Danville Junction Grange, an Auburn landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places and known for its monthly bean and casserole suppers, is up in the air. It is being placed on a new foundation. Suppers have been canceled until March 3, when the next one is being planned.
