FARMINGTON — A Phillips man who was indicted in November on sexual assault charges against two children under age 14, was indicted again Thursday on a sexual assault charge against a third child.

Michael R. Harriman, 27, was indicted on a Class A charge of gross sexual assault against a child under age 14, a Class B charge of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor charge of incest that occurred between Jan. 19, 2015, and Jan. 19, 2017.

Harriman pleaded not guilty Nov. 28 to two counts of Class A gross sexual assault against a child, on which he was indicted on Nov. 1.

Harriman has been held on $15,000 cash bail on the two previous sexual assault charges and is being held in Franklin County Detention Center without bail on a probation violation in regard to an Androscoggin County case.

The latter case dates back to 2010 when he was a resident of Lisbon and was charged on charges of burglary, theft and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

A conviction on the sexual assault charge is punishable by a maximum 30 years in prison and a $50,000 fine. A conviction on the Class B charges carries up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine, and the Class E charge carries a maximum six months in jail and $1,000 fine.
