DENMARK — The Denmark Arts Center announces Susan Beane of Denmark is the new interim executive director.

Beane joined the center as a board member in 2017. A native Mainer, she has served on many nonprofit organizations in the Mount Washington Valley region. She is a passionate farmer/gardener and participates in a multi-family farm with her husband and sister-in-law in Denmark.

She has worked with Hostelling International, the Mount Washington Observatory, Tin Mountain Conservation Center and, most recently, the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust.
