NORWAY — The Norway Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, when the public is invited for a look back at the successes of 2017 and to hear about the plans for 2018.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with desserts and hot coffee and tea served. Summary reports from the public relations and program committees, the building and grounds and the collection committees, will be available to read.

President Ann Siekman will open the meeting at 7 p.m. Several items require a vote from the general membership. Three are bylaw changes: the addition of a vice president position, the length of term for trustees and the addition of a development/finance committee. Lastly, Marcye Gray must be approved as a new trustee.

After the voting, a volunteer recognition program will be held, thanking those who helped the society accomplish its tasks and honoring the Rev. Don McAllister as Volunteer of the Year.

The building renovations and reorganization of the collection will be explained, followed by tours of the building to view the collection and the proposed changes. To make those changes, the society will be closed Saturdays, Jan. 20 and 27 and Feb. 3.

The meeting will adjourn at 8 p.m.
