RUMFORD — The River Valley Rotary Club hosted two speakers at the fellowship meeting on Jan. 8 at the Hope Association.

Addressing the group were Sen. Lisa Keim and Craig Larrabee of the JMG Program.

Larrabee grew up in Waldo County and started in 1993 at JMG, a program which focuses on assisting youth get into the work force. JMG partners with public education and private businesses to offer results-driven solutions to ensure all Maine students graduate, attain post-secondary credentials and pursue meaningful careers.

In 2005 Larrabee became CEO of the program, which has 104 programs, serves more than 7,000 students annually, and 43,000 students have been served since 1993.

JMG’s funding support is based on a public-private partnership of shared investments from school partners, Maine and private businesses and foundations.
