As a Maine and American citizen, I would like to encourage President Donald Trump and federal elected officials to stop the immature political battling going on in Washington, D.C. The president’s tweeting is a very disappointing way to “manage” this nation.

I encourage President Trump and other government officials to find a more sensible way to solve North Korea’s nuclear threats than the present direction.

Those who remember the atomic bombs on Japan understand just how serious the present nuclear threatening situation can become, especially since the U.S. nuclear arsenal is far more powerful than in the past. This time, any action could have world-wide consequences.

Last, while Democrats and others are disappointed in President Trump and the present government’s direction, I think it is no secret that many Republicans do not approve, as well.
